Open2Place helps users discover and communicate with independent housing providers. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Open2Place does not own, operate, manage, inspect, supervise, certify, or control properties displayed on the Platform.
Before entering into a housing arrangement, you are responsible for evaluating the provider and housing opportunity, including property condition, location, pricing, deposits and fees, refund policies, house rules, occupancy arrangements, services, transportation, program requirements, provider credentials where applicable, and written residency or lease terms.
Information in your housing request should be truthful and reasonably accurate. Do not include highly sensitive personal information in public-facing portions unless the Platform specifically requests it through a protected feature.
Providers who receive or discover your housing request may contact you through Open2Place functionality. A provider's presence on Open2Place does not by itself constitute endorsement or guarantee by Open2Place.
Providers independently determine availability, eligibility requirements, screening procedures, and admission/rental decisions, subject to applicable law. Open2Place does not guarantee acceptance.
Unless Open2Place expressly identifies itself as processing a particular housing transaction, payments to providers are transactions between you and the provider. Before paying a deposit, rent, fee, or other amount, review the provider's terms and obtain appropriate documentation.
Disputes regarding housing conditions, deposits, rent, refunds, property rules, damages, services, or other aspects of your arrangement generally must be resolved between you and the provider. Open2Place may accept reports or assist with communication but is not a party solely because the connection originated through Open2Place.
Exercise reasonable judgment when communicating with providers, visiting properties, sending funds, sharing personal information, and entering housing arrangements. Report suspicious activity through Open2Place where available. For emergencies, contact the appropriate emergency service.
Open2Place supports equal access to housing consistent with applicable law. Users may report potentially discriminatory listings or conduct through Open2Place's reporting mechanism.
By creating or continuing your seeker account, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the applicable Terms of Service, Housing Seeker Agreement, Privacy Policy, Fair Housing & Non-Discrimination Policy, and Community Standards.
