Open2Place is committed to facilitating access to housing opportunities in a manner consistent with applicable fair-housing and anti-discrimination laws. Housing providers and other users may not use Open2Place to unlawfully discriminate based on characteristics protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
Under federal law, protected characteristics include race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, and disability. Additional protections may apply under state or local law.
Users may not publish unlawful discriminatory statements, preferences, limitations, or advertisements. Providers remain responsible for determining whether any eligibility requirement, housing model, exemption, or program restriction they impose is lawful.
Open2Place does not determine whether a provider qualifies for a particular exemption merely because the provider identifies its property as recovery housing, supportive housing, transitional housing, senior housing, veteran housing, reentry housing, or another specialized housing type.
Open2Place reserves the right to review and remove content or restrict accounts that violate this policy. Users who believe a listing or user violates this policy may report the matter to Open2Place. Nothing in this policy limits an individual's right to contact an appropriate government agency or exercise rights available under applicable law.
