Open2Place attended the Alamo Chapter Case Management Society of America Annual Conference, connecting with case management professionals serving the San Antonio area.

Open2Place participated in the Alamo Chapter Case Management Society of America Annual Conference, connecting with case management professionals and community organizations serving individuals throughout the San Antonio area. The conference provided an opportunity to introduce Open2Place, learn more about the housing challenges case managers encounter, and build relationships with professionals and organizations working to connect individuals with appropriate housing and supportive resources.
Case managers are often on the front lines of helping individuals transition from hospitals, treatment programs, recovery programs, veteran services, reentry programs, shelters, and other community settings into stable housing. Open2Place was created to help make that housing connection easier by providing a centralized platform where housing needs can be posted and participating housing providers can connect with people and organizations seeking placement options.
Building relationships between housing providers and referral professionals can improve housing placement opportunities.
Direct conversations with case management professionals help Open2Place better understand the challenges they encounter when searching for housing.
Feedback from professionals working directly with clients can help guide future improvements to the Open2Place platform.
Housing challenges cannot be addressed by one organization alone. Collaboration between providers, case managers, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and community programs is essential.
